In Psalms 34:6, “desperation”, translates to “poor, afflicted, wretched…”
No one wants to be any of those. However, those desperate moments of affliction allow us to truly see our wretched selves. It’s these moments that lead us straight to the Father. Whether you’re feeling stuck in your spiritual life, wanting to know God deeper, or tired of being in a cycle of sin, there is an answer to that prayer. But first, God is looking for a contrite heart (Psalm 51:17) that knows they cannot do it without Him.
If that’s you, I invite you along this journey with me toward honesty, healing, and hope.
Finding Hope in Christ
Nya Dorsey is a creative writer who has been saved by grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). Through a journey of surrender, she's learned that a desperate, contrite heart unlocks true honesty, allowing us to acknowledge our sins and seek God's healing touch. In that surrender, she's experienced wholeness and found a steady hope in the Lord's promises.
Now, she aspires to share her testimony, guiding others from feelings of loss and hopelessness to the boundless possibilities found in Jesus Christ, where peace and purpose reside in His embrace.
